Whether it’s a birthing plan or what you’d like to happen when you pass on—a doula helps you deal with those tricky, uncomfortable moments that we all know are important, but never want to think about. A doula answers any questions you might have, helps you create a plan of action, connects you with the right people, and overall eases your anxiety, so that when that time comes—you have enough space to be present and positive during those big transitions.
Most of us are too shy or don’t want to “burden” others with our problems especially in big moments of change. We have difficulty reaching out for help and accepting support even if we know it’ll help. My role is not only to help you plan for these big life moments, but to be an objective person you can lean on for emotional support. Since a doula is technically employed by you—their service and support comes with no baggage, no emotional strings, and no personal agendas.
Care should be flexible, your needs don’t have to fit inside of a package. I work collaboratively with my clients for a truly personalized experience. Doulas can be helpful in so many other situations too, including but definitely not limited to abortion, miscarriage, gender affirming processes, pet loss, and and and!
